My first post! I'm so excite. I am finally taking baby steps in my new career path. And when I say new, I mean 2 weeks, and when I say career path, I mean my cookie business. I don't have a name, a menu, or the funds to make this happen, but I really want to go for it. Let me introduce myself...
My name is Heather. I'm a 25 year old professional in the marketing business. At 25 I've had my fair share of jobs and honestly none of them have the possibility of turning into a career. I hate office life. I want something different. I want to work for myself on my own time. So I decided I wanted to start my own business.
How did I decide to start my own cookie business? Well that decision didn't come easy...
I originally wanted to start my own design/invitation business. But that idea lasted about a day. Then I moved on to baking. Whats popular? Cupcakes! But cupcakes are a lot harder to make than they look. So I thought about what am i already good at, that I can just improve on? What do people like that I make that I can take to the next level? My cookies. I have to say it, I make a mean chocolate chip cookie. So i decided I want to branch off that. Which direction I want to go in, who do I want to sell to, what kind of cookies I'm going to make...none of that has been decided yet. But that's the fun part! This blog will chronicle my trials and tribs of trying to break into the cookie business...wish me luck.
